Bob Dylan lyrics

Do you think you should be writing your thoughts & ideas down?
I definitively say yes!

One of my quotes from my upcoming book is:
“Putting your intentions into writing gives them a life of their own, even if it’s on a napkin!”

So take the time to put your thoughts into writing, in a:

  • to do list,
  • project plan,
  • book chapter,
  • reminder to call a friend,
  • text/email to yourself,
  • calendar update,
  • journal entry, or
  • note on that tablet next to your bed.

With all our new technology tools, there are so many ways to collect and initiate your thoughts into an action. Find what works best for you and stick to it. The key is to get them out of your head.

Many people tell me they don’t need to write things down, they will remember and many do but if you don’t, what then? Something potentially valuable that your brilliant brain thought, is lost. Think if Dylan hadn’t written these lyrics down, would they ever have become the amazing, timeless song that they are now.

And the lyrics are still so valid even in our world today.
Steve Jobs recited the first line of this song as his opening when he unveiled the Macintosh in 1984, 21 years after the song was written. For those of you who know the song you know what I mean and if you don’t know it, it’s worth a listen!

Click below to enjoy listening to Dylan in his first performance at the White House, 46 years after he took the time to write his thoughts for this song!

Remember….Put your intentions into written form!

For those in the Northeast – Stay warm, dry and be careful on the roads.

Enjoy, Brenda
